It is VERY possible for a virus to do this. Both Melissa and Papa viruses
did this, and were here on our campus, shutting down an Exchange server
briefly once or twice due to sheer volume of chained e-mail they
generated. I can assure you these were real and really did this- they
will mail to your entire address book if you are infected. It is NOT Mr.
Schultz's fault, other than needing to upgrade his virus protection or
pick a less virus-prone mailer. There is another virus more recent which
under the right circumstances does not even need to be opened to operate;
our sysadmin assures it is also real, and you can get information at
<URL Redacted>.

There are lots of hoaxes out there but this is not one of them. In the
future, you really should try learn more about the situation before
impugning someone's character. You'd feel pretty bad if you were the
one infected and it went out to your lists.

BTW- Is Manuel Lockingknee your real name???

Vikki Stefans, pediatric physiatrist (rehab doc for kids) and working
Mom of Sarah T. and Michael C., aka <Email Address Redacted>
Arkansas Children's Hospital/ U of A for Medical Sciences, Little Rock
...and EVERY mom is a working mom! (OK, dads too...)

I can understand that this posting was done unintentionally, even though I
have never heard of a virus that forwards one's e-mail. Mistake or not,
this posting was irresponsible, insensitive, bigoted, and highly
unprofessional. I can't help but wonder why someone of such prominence in
our profession i.e.; a past president of AOPA, would be dealing and
distributing this dirt across the internet. Mistake, or not, this is a
professional embarrassment of monumental proportions. To blame a virus
for this irresponsible act is both arrogant and pretentious.
