Hi Tony!
A recent legislation here in Sweden sets the title Prosthetist/Orthotist (or Orthopaedic Engineers, as we are called here) under legal protection. You cannot claim that you are one of this profession except when you have the 3-year university degree provided by only one institution in Sweden. Special rules apply for people with an older education.
One small hang-up is that you still can claim to have that title, but only if you are engaged in a practice dissociated from any medical system, since this rule is covered only by law concerned with health-care legislation... strange but true.
