As BOC and ABC leaders ponder their equality in qualifications for DAV/VA O&P coverage, the federal govt. proposes $500 million in Medicare reductions of O&P services for the private sector.Yes, Mr. Pritham there are far larger issues at stake than the sandbox war between ABC/AOPA and BOC - the consumer and the qualified professional are getting screwed!! Yes Wayne, the last paragraph below IS interesting .Seems the immediate past president of ABC recognizes the bigger picture, does anyone else?

assistant (or deputy) secretary of the VA about this and other issues
affecting the delivery of prosthetic and orthotic care to the American
veteran.
I hesitate to say there are larger issues at stake, for clearly there
can be no larger issue for ABC than recognition of its standards. But
ABC, AOPA, and AAOP have a multifaceted set of issues to pursue with the
VA and it behooves ABC to be respectful of that fact. It profits the
field little to wage a battle over a decision that has been made and in
the process sacrifice our opportunity to affect future decisions.

Personally, the last paragraph is quite interesting.
