Is there something I am missing, where is the boast?
This is in the past, it's history, but we are not waiting for other people
to catch up, we are planning to break even more World Records in Track
Cycling.
AP> I have become sensitized to those kind of comments over the years.
What comments? How I made the fastest leg in Cycling was all that I stated.
Was that (how I make a limb) something that is not politically correct in
this field? I'm just a dumb smuck that gets thing done, I will be glad to
talk to Dory about you making a cycling limb for him ( here his address
<Email Address Redacted> )and we can see what design is the fastest. The outcomes
of that will surly help all amputees.
It was my stubbornness and belief in my design, that got us were we ended
up. When I came up with the idea of no foot on the leg, the bike maker said
that was the dumbness idea he ever heard of. VGAP took a few tries to get a
working model, of course Dory long discussion of how it was not helping,
went into redesigning the VGAP. Just like Chevy's auto racing, it helps all
of my clients, and all my amputee clients are told they are paying for the
work done on Dory's racing limb.
If only 50% of the OandP persons in this country took on just one project
like this, the care for all amputees would be 100% plus better.
That's all for now.

Yes, your right it was that part that stood out for me. I have become
sensitized to those kind of comments over the years. It has to do with the
promotion of ourselves to others while our work does at times not support
the
boast. To often the amputee is seen as being put on earth to showcase the
skills of the prosthetist instead of the prosthetist being an enabler for
the
amputee.
I hope your socket designs will help amputees and that it will be made
available to as many amputees as possible because the need is great.
