Just want to inform you that once we try a few of these out, we would

RESULTS:
Dear Gordon,
You might try Medical Office Software, Inc. for the MOM & POP program, (888)
667-9273, out of Davie, FL..You might also want to check out O.P.S. Software
by Futura International, Inc., (813) 791-3332. We are in the process of
upgrading our computer systems at the office and are going to get one of
these systems to assist the secretarial staff and help in our coding, so we
don't miss anything!
Call either of the above mentioned software suppliers and they will send you
the information packets.
Good luck rooting thru it all, we still are.

Who ever you use, try to get a committment in writing as to the amount of
training and support you'll get. See if you can get them to agree to a return

Good luck!

A few years ago, I spoke with Becker about their software. I spoke with a
couple of O&P firms that used it and was told it was very good. I don't
know, though, if they've kept up with technology or are still maintaining
the software. They had contracted with a software firm to create the
software. If you contact Becker, they will direct you to the firm.

We use MediSoft software. While it is not particularly written for P&O, it
is fully capable of doing the job and we have been using it for four years.
It also has a scheduling system that can be purchased. The good news is
that there are about 100,000 users of the package (not likely to disappear
soon) and the cost for a multi-user networking version, including the
scheduler is about 1,200.00 to 1,300.00 dollars. The single user package is
about $495.00, I think. The yearly maintenance fee is about $200.00, I
believe. Any way you look at it, I doubt that you will find a package that
is more powerful and adequate for a P&O practice for that kind of money.
The company offers seminars all around the country on an on-going basis and
the seminars are $200.00, or there about for a two day course, not counting
hotel, etc. They are located in Phoenix, Arizona. You can also download a
fully working demo version from their website. It expires is about 30 days,
but you download it again, if you need more time for examination. From an
accounting sense, we use Peachtree Accounting for our purchase orders,
accounts payable, general ledger, etc. It is a great package that sells for
about $149.00, or so. At the end of each month, we transfer Medisoft data
into the general ledger. It works slick and is virtually painless. You are
welcome to visit us and see it in action. We have a small office, but I
would use if for a large company without hesitation. When I was President
of LaForsch, in Dayton, Ohio, we used MedFlex. It is a nice package, but
very expensive, and not really necessary unless you are one of those who
likes to print out report after report to analyze your business. You can
also analyze your business with MediSoft, LCode by LCode, etc., etc. The
Peachtree general ledger and the available reports from MediSoft are all you
really need. Hope this helps.
