I had a 50 year old tiler/carpeter in the office yesterday whose physician
prescribed custom knee pads. He has a tibial tuberosity the side of an egg
that needs to be unweighted in kneeling. I've done several of these before
and have never found a very good solution. I usually start with the
patient's own brand of knee pad because it already is appropriate for the
work they do. Yesterday I took impressions of the knees in a flexed position.
Has anything worked for practitioners out there?
