Dear subscribers,
The OANDP-L list has been restored to Non-moderated status, with posting
open only to subscribers. This will allow for messages to go to the full
membership without having to be approved first.
There are a few courtesy rules that should be followed:
1. Use very descriptive Subject lines
2. Use the qualifier US Politics as the first part of the subject for any
discussions which deal with US association politics or US reimbursement
issues, etc. Please modify this for postings that are related to issues of
similar nature but related to other countries.
3. Please post summaries of responses within a reasonable time frame, and
be sure to include the original question. Use a subject line which
indicates that it is a response summary.
4. Please use good judgement when replying to a message... specifically,
most responses are best being sent directly to the writer of the original
question. Some responses, as in a public debate, may be more appropriately
posted to the full list- but BE SURE TO USE APPROPRIATE SUBJECT LINES!!!
For people using America Online (AOL.com), use the reply button to do a
direct reply, and a reply to all button to reply to the full list. Again,
please choose wisely since the original author will repost your response at
a later time.
5. To achieve the best response to your questions, please fully identify
yourself, your credentials, and your professional affiliation in your posts.
(i.e. John Doe, CPO Acme Prosthetics and Orthotics, or Jane Doe, BOC,
Orthotist Muskogee Orthotics). This issue has been brought to my attention
by a number of professionals who are hesitant to provide responses of a
clinical nature to unidentified individuals who may not be appropriately
trained or qualified to be providing patient care. By identifying yourself
thoroughly in your posts, you will be giving the other subscribers the
confidence they need to know that their responses will be used in the
correct manner, and you will most likely receive a higher number of
responses to your question.
Thank you for participating and for following these guidelines.
Sincerely,
Paul E. Prusakowski, CPO
