Dear colleagues:
As a German prosthetist I am lacking some information on the Burgess
Amputation for trans-tibials.
I know about the posterior flap and the difference in distal stump design
(much more distal soft tissue padding and distal volume - right?). I do not
know how often this is done (statistics available anywhere?).
Also in this context I would be interested to learn what US-prosthetists mean
when they talk about hydrostatic socket design.
When do you do it, how does it look like and what is important to know?
