Thanks to all who have replied with regard to my search of different prosthetic
feet and their effects on lower back pain. In summary, I had found a Medline
search to provide many articles comparing different prosthetic feet and their
effects on gait. To save time and space, anyone interested in these articles
can email me directly for a copy. Oterhwise, web pages of various companies
providing prosthetic feet also helped in differentiating between the
components. Thanks again, and here is a listing of replies I received. Sorry

I am new to this list, so it's possible I've missed discussions on this topic.
I'm a master's student researching the effects of different LE prosthetic
components and their effects on lower back pain. I'm attempting to do a lit
search, and have found some articles related to different prosthetic feet. Are
there any other suggestions or articles available on knees, pylons, etc.?

post your questions or query to gauge response from amputees who might
be interested in your research. Of course, if it is strictly literature
and not real-life or anecdotal experience you seek, well, it might not

Best place for a search on P+O articles is the Library at the national
centre for training and education in P+O in Glasgow
