Dear Bob,
I have always respected the decisions the elected officers and leaders of our
organizations have made, even if I vehemently disagreed, I still respected
them.
I am withholding comment on your letter until I've read it three more times
(and then read it again) as there are some very gray areas I need to absorb
more clearly.
As a comment to all practitioners who may read this post - Our elected
officers and directors deserve all the respect we can muster. They are the
ones putting in the Herculean effort and time on our behalf. My comments, for
whatever weight they may or may not hold, will be reserved until March, when I
can first-hand discuss this situation with those who can answer my questions.
I urge all of you to do the same - be there at the AAOP assembly in New
Orleans, even if only for a day, to let your concerns be known. This is an
extremely sensitive, crucial decision being made, and it may be made on your
behalf without your input if you don't let your voice be heard.
Be there!
