Thanks to all who responded to the question
I posed concerning Patellofemoral ko's. The
following are the responses/suggestions I
received:
> The Tru-Pull by Orthotech, also called the
Fulkerson Patellofemoral brace
> Check out the Protonics KO by Empi
> I have had good success with infra-patellar straps.
They don't interfere with knee motion. They seem to
prevent the compression between the patellar cartilage
and the femur, thereby relieving pain. If the patellofemoral
syndrome can be attributed to poor tracking of the patella
due to excessive subtalar pronation, a custom foot orthosis
has proven effective for a number of my clients.
