Prosthetist/Orthotist Lecturer: Position with the American Friends
Service
Committee (AFSC). Organize and teach assigned subjects at the Cambodian
School for Prosthetics and Orthotics in Phnom Penh, a three-year program
which began in 1994 to train Cambodians to internationally recognized
standards. Requires: Degree or diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics
from
recognized school; minimum three years as practicing
Prosthetist/Orthotist;
teaching/training experience desirable (Third World experience
preferred);
ability to work independently and as a member of a diverse team;
fluency in
spoken and written English; ability to work through or serve as
interpreter;
willingness to learn Khmer; ability to adapt to an environment of hot
weather and uncertain utilities and to travel requirements of the
assignment; ability to work under pressure and to cope with delays and
restrictions such as periodic road closures, security measures, and
