Dear Colleagues,
I have a young man in his twenties that is a traumatic Lt BE that has not
been a successful user with a conventional BE prosthesis since the amputation
over 1 year ago. He would desperately like to ride off-road motorcycles once
more. Other than the problems with the residual limb's conditon, which is
healed but the skin is grafted and deeply invaginated, he presents without any
other significant problems. Other than the usual component questions with
suspension, socket style and TD, is it a reasonable expectation or even likely
that a prosthesis could meet his goal? Is there anyone with a success story
I could learn from?
Thank You,
Pat Peick CPO
