There used to be one called the Active Ankle designed specifically for
swimming. I believe you can obtain the ankle, or information, from
Performance Orthotics and Prosthetics Specialists in Santa Monica, CA.
The number I have is 310-829-2322.

Good luck,
Dan

The Ortholite Active Ankle(or LA Ankle) is the newest lightweight swim ankle
that I know of. It has a little ring/switch on the lateral side that turns to
un lock, then allows planterflexion then turns back and locks for ambulation.
We use it once in awhile, but beware of the play when in the locked/ambulating
position ,have had to send one maybe two back for this reason.

SPS carries it out here in California. Talk to Jamie or Jeff in Paso Robles,
or Connie in Georgia.

Take Care,
Jeff A. Zeller,RTP

Ortholite also has a swimming ankle called the Leisure Activity
ankle. I haven't used it yet.
