The location of Medicaid Area Offices may be seen at the Agency's Web site. The home page for the Agency is www.fdhc.state.fl.us - The specific site to see the Area Office information is www. fdhc.state.fl.us/officloc.html ' --

I hope this information is useful to you.

As far as to how providers are notified of policy changes there are several ways. The most common and fastest way is that each remittance voucher they receive with their payments contains information in it. It is in these vouchers that late breaking news is included. The information about the DME changes has been running now for several weeks at least.
The second way is sometimes letters are sent directly to the affected providers. I'm not sure that this happened in this instance. Finally, new handbook pages are sent as soon as they are published.

 Thanks for your attention.

Stricter Standards Ensure Better Care
As the direct result of a successful regulation effort in Florida,Medicaid has expanded O&P coverage.Consumers and practitioners of all states should recognize the benefits of mandatory licensure and actively support the establishment of state and federal standards for practitioners of O&P services.

Join us* in eradicating fraud and abuse and encouraging the federal government to develop and pass legislation for O&P providers seeking reimbursement from Medicare.
