Has anyone on the list had experience with Alpha Liners (with or without
pin) and any boney protrusions on their residual limbs.

I took a first walk on my brand new leg the other night, only to get back
home to find the alpha liner already starting to discolour (turn white) and
evidence of small fractures in the alpha where it was in contact with the
boney protusion.

In an effort to limit this effect my prosthetist (Tony van der Waarde)
decided on adding an extra piece of alpha liner to the inside of the socket
to get me some extra protection in this area, apparently it did not work.

At this rate the alpha won't last a week.

Has anyone figured a way of getting around this problem?
