I would like to add my two cents worth of knowledge on this subject. First
the bone bridge is formed on the distal ends of the tibia and fibula. This
accomplished with osteroperiosteal flaps from the anteromedial and lateral
aspects of the tibia being attached to the fibula then sewn together to form
a tube. Bone then breeds, for lack of a better term, within the tube. I
am not aware of bone material being inserted as in seeding. You will find
this procedure described in greater detail in the Atlas of Limb Prosthetics
edited by Bowker and Michael.

You got me on the Xeroradiography. But the graphics look great!
