Evaluators needed...
Text:
Dear Colleagues,
As many of you know, I have been the consultant prosthetist for ALPS South
Corp. for some time now. I have had the opportunity to speak and teach about
different techniques and products manufactured by the company. We have been
working diligently on a new product as well as developing a technique for its
use. The product is SocketPro. This item can eliminate the need for plastic
lamination and vacuum forming thermoplastics. It's a water activated, pre-
impregnated, fiberglass (or carbon) material and will allow you the
opportunity to fabricate your sockets in less than 30 minutes. AND IT'S CLEAN!
If this sounds like a sales pitch, I apologize, it really isn't, I have
nothing to do with the sales end.
I am, however, looking to establish regional evaluation areas around the
country - small groups of prosthetists who would like to learn this new
technique and have some direct input into the progress of the product. If
you're interested and can put together a small group of prosthetists and/or
their technicians from different facilities (we want different facilities to
allow for unbiased input), I will come to your area to instruct your group on
the SocketPro technique. The group should be anywhere between 5 and 15
individuals, and the facilities they come from should have sufficient volume
to utilize SocketPro on many different patients.
Please let me know if and when you would like to get started. Nothing happens
overnight, and a certain amount of cordination will be needed. I will discuss
further details with you when you write back and set up a tentative time when
we can get together.
I look forward to seeing you all in SUNNY, WARM Miami this April at the AAOP
assembly.
Sincerely,
Joseph F. Carideo Jr., CP
