The problem may come in the battle over ethics of human cloning, and not
in whether or not the technology and methods are available. An
adult-size leg clone would have to be grown and exercised to be viable,
then harvested and attached to a genetically similar host... such as an
amputee in need.
Imagine a day when pseudo humans (higher-brain-less, supposed souless
bodies), do nothing but grow and exercise, for harvesting of parts. It's
a difficult scenario. Nevertheless, with some of the stupid ideoologies
forming today, I suspect someday, people'd have no problem cloning humans
for harvest, while having a fit over eating meat! But as one wise bumper
sticker once said:
If animals aren't supposed to be eaten, why are they made of meat?
:)
