Re. gel and partial foot amputation

My background:
Lisfranc amputation (midfoot). Sweden.
Some years ago I was informed by an alert prosthetist about the
gelsocks. It was for me an improvement - no friction, less or none
sores, better distribution of pressure. It seems also to be good for
the skin, but it is recommended not to be used every hour of the day.
However, I am not aware of the different types of gelsocks for partial
foot amputees on the market. I myself should like to have socks not
only covering the outermost part of my stump but with a little more
space for gel .
There seems also to be too little knowledge among amputees and even
professionals about the existence of this material for this purpose.
Therefore the following :
Do you have own experiences af gelsocks ?
As I want to know the total existence of different types of such
socks, I would appreciate your help for information about firms
markting this socks ( their names, addresses, e-mail addresses etc.).
Please, assist me to increase my knowledge and I will try to spread it
to my fellow amputees.
