Greetings to all you orthotists and prosthetists!
I'm a pediatric physical therapist, who has been dealing with the increase
of torticollis since pediatricians made the recommendation to have infants
sleep in supine. Typically, the torticollis cases I've dealt with have
resolved with stretching and home programming for activities and
positioning. Currently, I have a 6 month old client whose situation has not
been conducive to manual stretching. I had the medical library at my
hospital do a literature search for orthotics/splints used for torticollis.
This search came up empty! Does anyone on this listserve have any
recommendations for orthotics/splints that may help with torticollis?
