It’s entirely possible that I have posted this question before but I can’t seem to track it down in my old sent emails.

Once upon a time along long time ago we would regularly purchase shoe uppers from shoe companies. We could then use these uppers to fabricate custom shoes that at least somewhat resembled store-bought brands. I have contacted several shoe manufacturers and nobody is willing to do this anymore.

That being said, I know that I could purchase uppers from Chinese vendors but they want to sell these in batches of 100 and 200 at a time and I can’t figure out why I would need that quantity.

I guess that is a long winded way to say, does anybody know where a person can purchase shoe uppers that could be stretched over a cast with insole and custom last to fabricate in-house custom shoes?

These have to be available somewhere. But, my Google-Fu isn’t strong enough to track them down.

Bobby Burri.
