Dear Orthotics and Prosthetics Professionals,

Dr. Rory Cooper, PhD, of the Human Engineering Research Laboratories, the University of Pittsburgh, and the Department of Veterans Affairs asked me to pass the below information on to you in hopes that you would be kind enough to participate or share this information with your network of Orthotics and Prosthetics Professionals, and the disability community on our behalf. This survey is for United States based providers at this time. An international survey is slated for a future project.

My colleagues and I are conducting this VOP survey to gather input on research and development directions from assistive technology clinicians and professionals. I hope that you will take a few moments to share with us your knowledge by completing the survey at: <URL Redacted>

You are being asked to take part in this study because you are 18 years of age or older and you currently work to provide, maintain, or develop mobility related assistive technology (e.g. wheelchair, scooter, prosthesis, cane, walker, etc.). We highly value the critical input of professionals regularly exposed to assistive technologies.< <URL Redacted>>< <URL Redacted>>

The Voice of the Provider (VOP) survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Survey results are confidential. We know you are busy and really appreciate you investing a few moments of your time. We are close to reaching our participant goal, and just need a last push to get there.

I am providing links concerning our previous versions of the Voice of the Consumer (VOC), and partner study Voice of the Provider (VOP). Please read the published articles if you are interested in the results of HERL’s previous VOC/VOP surveys.
