Dear list,
There comes a time in any over budget, over time, hopeless restoration project that the only rational decision is to acquire more of the same non-functional items. Therefore, I’m looking to acquire an abandoned d1 digitizer, the brokener the better. Here is a photo of what I’m looking for combined with a photo of it in surgery:
<URL Redacted>
There was an assortment of accessories that came with the d1,which I’d certainly like to find. There is a calibration tool, offset adapter and positive model adapter. I wish I could send pictures of such but all I can find a blurry multigenerational copy of the instruction manual. I know they exist, I just don’t know what they exactly look like. If you have pictures of these and wish to share, I’d be much obliged.
Over the years I’ve seen a couple of this gathering dust,the product of an enthusiastic owner or manager, which never quite delivered the efficiency and productivity promised or perhaps the practitioners just never embraced the technology. When I reached back and contacted these shops, the d1 had been scrapped years ago when the purchaser retired or the shop was sold.
Best regards,
Charles
