Dear list members:
What was the name and manufacturer of the original smooth pin lock system. I have a TT patient with an old socket with this lock but, it looks to me like they are no longer made. The lock looks similar to a Fillauer plastic lock that is approximately 1 1/2 diameter, and it appears to screw in to the distal aspect of the socket like a Fillauer lock. I believe this lock and pin system originally came out around 20-25 years ago. Maybe just called The Pin ???This will likely become a replacement socket over repair, but I was just curious on the name of that system, if it is still made, and/or if parts are still available. Thanks!Bryan King, CPO,LPOJAS
