Hi everybody,
3 questions:

1- What CPT code you use for walker for Medicare? What I found, does not make sense to provide service, cause reimburse is about $35-45 while out cost is same or even more. Do you just not provide walker?

2- I look to change my measurements/casting to scanning. Majority of patients would be: foot orthotics, Knee braces, AFOs, spine braces, BKs, and AKs. I want to be able to modify before sending file out to central fabrication. What scanner/central fabrication do you recommend? I found some expensive scanners but don’t want to invest 10-20K for it. I heard Structure is not too accurate (have not tried myself)

3- Any knee brace you recommend for 65 y.o weak patient who has knee instability, and walks with about 15 degree knee flexion? (I’m able to passively fully extend her knees)

Any recommendation/suggestion to above questions would be really appreciated.

Thanks,
Darya Shahrokhi, CPO
