We are a small O and P practice and we have been attempting to get in
network with Blue Cross, Cigna, Aetna, and United Healthcare without any
luck. The frustrating thing is that they won't even entertain the idea of
letting us apply. We keep getting told their network is not accepting new
providers at this time. When we try to inquire about when the enrollment
period begins, they won't give us a date but instead just tell us to keep
calling back to check. This has been on going for 3 years. We have
emailed, called, physically gone to some of these insurance companies and
we are absolutely getting the cold shoulder.
I am just trying to see if anyone else has had this problem before and if
so, did you find any way to break through the denial responses?
This isn't a matter of pricing, we are happy to accept their In-network fee
schedules etc. We just want to be able to help more of our referrals that
come in with out of network insurances and keep them from going to a
sub-par provider, especially when their physician would prefer them to come
to us.
Any help or recommendations would be appreciated.
