October 31, 2018 – OPAF & The First Clinics along with the First Swim Training and Clinic program was recently awarded a grant from US Masters Swim and their Adult Learn To Swim Program. The grant funding comes from their Swimming Saves Lives Foundation and will be used in 2019. We plan to offer two pilot programs of adaptive swim instruction in Orlando, Florida and Bay City, Michigan.

“These grant dollars will help us to grow the First Swim program in two specific cities where we have close ties with local YMCAs and other aquatic facilities’ said OPAF Executive Director, Robin Burton. First Swim is the most recent OPAF program to have clinical education attached as part of the training program for allied health care professionals.
