Thank you to all that responded to my question regarding cast preparation prior to pouring plaster.
The overwhelming consensus has been to remove the stockinette immediately after casting the patient. It has also been suggested to change the brand of casting tape, use more casting tape per cast, and to perhaps change the interface material from cotton stockings to nylon.
I will definitely review these suggestions with my clinical team.
