Thank you colleagues for all of your responses to my original post copied below. The responses included many confirming the ability to glue-on Ossur seal rings to a locking liner using silicone adhesive. Also, the use of a Coyote proximal strap ladder lock and using an additional Lynn valve to assist with doffing were also recommended. There was also a plug the Coyote airtight lanyard lock.
Thanks again!
Markus
ORIGINAL POST
I have an experienced amputee client who has been on a seal in system for some time. He is able to manage it well but has atrophied / lost weight and now things are falling off. He is developing Alzheimer’s Dementia and so this next socket will need to be more “dummy proof”. He wants something more “reliable” than the seal in, although of course, this is plenty reliable when it fits rights. I like the quality of suspension with an air suction system, so I am looking for experience with pin + air systems. I’m thinking. Locking liner, Coyote air lock, and glue on ESP rings? Anybody have similar ideas or experience?
