Course Description
An orthotic fitter is an allied health professional specifically educated and trained in the provision of certain orthoses. This course includes fitting, adjusting, or modifying devices that reflect the level of education and training received. This is a hybrid course with 25-hours online didactic and a 16-hour in-class fitting lab conducted in Spokane, Washington on October 26 and 27, 2018.

Orthotic Fitter Student Outcomes
At the conclusion of this course the student will be able to competently practice the fitting of non-custom orthotics in preparation for taking the ABC exam for orthotic fitter. This course will cover topics such as:

* Selection and Fitting of Prefabricated Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity,

and Spinal Orthoses

* Practice Management/Workplace Safety

* Related Anatomy

The Orthotic Fitter Pre-cert/CE Course has been approved for 32 Category II credits by the ABC, 38.33 Category I and 1.67 Category II by the BOC; and 12 MCE by OPC (Canada).
