The Mastectomy Fitter Pre-cert/CE Course will be offered by the O&P Technology Programs at SFCC in Spokane, Washington on April 27, 2917. The Mastectomy Fitter Pre-cert/CE Course has been approved by the ABC and BOC for 8 hours of CME credits and 6 MCE by OPC (Canada). This pre-certification course is designed for new mastectomy fitters or as a review course for experienced fitters.
Topics included in the one-day course are anatomy/physiology, terminology, measurement tools and techniques, forms and care, scope of practice, ethical standards, roles/responsibilities, referral documents/medical records, reimbursement protocols, safety procedures, risk management, fit of prostheses, data evaluation, treatment plans, patient management/education, federal and state rules/regulations. The Mastectomy Fitter Course is taught by Victoria Ferro, CFM for 15 years and Dori Sohner, BSN, RN both of whom have clinical experiences in the field.

Morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch are provided along with a parking pass. A special room rate has been arranged with the Spokane Airport Holiday Inn for persons attending the course.
