Hello community! In my local market I’ve noticed a growing trend of DME and home health companies putting a certified practitioner on payroll to provide mostly indirect care. They don’t seem to have trouble with billing or accrediting bodies, so I’m interested in gathering opinions as to whether or not people consider this practice legitimate, or whether pressure needs to be applied on accrediting bodies to more closely monitor the situation more closely. Please note this post is not directed at what we would all consider to be reputable DME companies who have entered the market, but the ones we as a community would generally consider to be of substandard quality or reputation.
