Over the next 6 months or so, I will be traveling and working on
constructing a resource database for O&P and disability throughout much of
Central and South America. With this, I aspire to assist in locating
resources for patients currently living in or traveling to these countries,
as well as helping connect people with resources and increasing media
exposure.
I hope to include information about clinic locations, disability rights and
organizations, manufacturing, NGOs that operate and/or do volunteer work. I
plan on personally visiting as many sites as possible. If there is anyone
with specific needs that I could assist with in my travels, please contact
me.
Contacts and introductions are resources that would be particularly helpful
to me with this project and I would greatly appreciate any and all. Also,
digital O&P/disability educational materials, especially if available in
Spanish (but also English, French, Portuguese and Dutch) would be very
beneficial. Materials will either need to not be copyrighted or have
signed permission for use/distribution.
I know there are a number of other people with similar interests so if you
would like to be involved or kept updated, please contact me.
