Out of respect of other practitioners this may affect in my area I want to
stay anonymous.

We have had a case recently where a cranial remolding helmet was ill
fitting and fabricated in non-approved local facility. The parents came to
our group for a second opinion on the fit. We discussed the issues with
them, evaluated, the patient, and re-fabricated a proper fitting helmet.

On our end we documented clearly the issues, the deficit, and have pictures
of the fit.

Now, the family has sought legal action against the previous company. The
Lawyer wants to speak with our group concerning the case, the poor fit of
the helmet and even wants to retro-actively try the poor fitting helmet on.
This case was multiple months ago, so we will not be able to trial the
helmet.

Our question is how have your groups handled this in the past. Our
inclination is only to send our clinical notes at the time discussing the
case along with supporting pictures.

Thank you all and Happy New Year
