ROMP is an international nonprofit organization working to address the gap
in access to prosthetic care for people with amputation in the Western
Hemisphere, specifically in the countries of Guatemala and Ecuador. In
Guatemala, ROMP operates a locally-staffed, fully-equipped facility and
mobile clinic. In Ecuador, ROMP works in partnership with the Hermano
Miguel Foundation. Each year, ROMP operates Clinical Volunteer Programs in
which O&P practitioners, student, and faculty travel to ROMP sites in
Guatemala and Ecuador for 10 day periods in order to work alongside our
local practitioners to deliver prosthetic care and exchange clinical
knowledge.
Enrollment is now open to volunteer practitioners, students, and faculty of
O&P for all 2018 Volunteer Clinical Trips. Please enroll early as we expect
these programs to fill quickly. For details on the programs and to enroll,
please see the ROMP 2018 Volunteer Programs Catalog at
